The details
Everything you might be wondering
- How do I find out about service for my situation?
- The best thing to do is give us a call. We will ask about your vehicle or your locks and what you are trying to solve, then explain what the work involves. Call (984) 381-7611 and we are happy to talk it through.
- Are you a mobile locksmith?
- Yes. We are fully mobile and come directly to your home, vehicle, or office anywhere in the Triangle. Call us to discuss availability for your location.
- Do you have a physical shop I can visit?
- No, we are a mobile service business, which is an advantage for you. We come to your home, vehicle, or office, so there is no need to tow a car or remove a lock and bring it in.
- Which areas do you serve?
- We serve Wake County and the surrounding Triangle: Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Morrisville, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Fuquay-Varina, Wake Forest, and Durham.
- Can you make a car key if I've lost all of them?
- In many cases, yes. We cut and program replacement keys and fobs on site for most makes and models, even when no working key remains, and there is no tow required because we come to you.
- Will programming a new car key erase my old ones?
- If you have lost a key, we can program new keys and, when needed, remove the missing ones from the vehicle so they can no longer be used. That is a smart step for security after a lost set.
- What's the difference between rekeying and replacing a lock?
- Rekeying resets the pins inside your existing lock so old keys stop working and a new key takes over. Replacing swaps the entire lock hardware, which makes sense for upgrades or damaged locks.
- I just moved into a new home. Should I rekey?
- It is one of the smartest first moves in a new home. You cannot know how many copies of the old keys exist, so rekeying ensures only your new keys work. We can also key every door alike so one key opens them all.
- Can you open my door without damaging it?
- Yes. We use professional, non-destructive entry methods for homes, apartments, offices, and vehicles. Damage-free entry is the standard, not the exception.
- My key broke off in the lock. Can you fix it?
- Yes. We extract the broken piece without harming the lock and cut you a fresh, working key, usually in the same visit.
- Do you install smart locks and deadbolts?
- We do. We install and configure quality deadbolts and popular smart locks, and we will advise on the best option for your door and security needs.
- Are you licensed and insured?
- Yes. Mr. Locksmith is licensed and insured, and our technicians are background-checked for your safety and peace of mind.
- What payment methods do you accept?
- We accept all major cards as well as cash. We will go over the details of the work with you so you know what to expect.
- Do you offer commercial locksmith services?
- Yes: office lockouts, commercial rekeys, master key systems, and storefront lock repair for businesses throughout the Triangle. Ask about service for multiple locations.
